Conclusion to Compassion blog series

Now you know what Compassion is about, you have read my story, and it is your turn to make a decision. No, I did not write this to tell everyone, "You have to sponsor a child." It would be great if every Christian could serve God in every ministry, but hey, we're human, we can't do it all. God knows that, and He leads us each to serve Him in different ways. If God isn't calling you to it, than don't do it. But please, don't just use the excuse, "God doesn't call everyone to do everything," as an excuse. Seriously pray about how the Lord wants to use you - your talents, your possessions, and your time. Pray and ask God if He wants you to serve Him by sponsoring a child through Compassion International. And listen. Then, "Be doers of the Word, and not hearers only." PLEASE learn from my mistakes, and if God is calling you to sponsor a child, (or any other ministry for that matter) listen, and follow God's leading when He tells you. Sponsorship has been a huge blessing to me - both with the child I sponsor, and sponsoring a child together with my family. It is an opportunity to pour out the love of God on someone who otherwise may never have known that there is hope for them.
